Mohawk River Cruise operates as an Open Cruise - not private - no reservations needed. Tickets for the Open Cruise can be purchased on site or online with a minimum of 10 pessangers or more for the cruise to depart. The Open Cruise is offered as a one hour or a two hour cruise from Scotia Landing towards lock 7 and back. Operating hours for the Open Cruise are Tues - Sunday.
Mohawk River Cruise also operates as a private cruise. Private cruise has to be prescheduled and reserved. The private cruise is able to accommodate up to 20 guests in your private party. Boarding spot is Scotia Landing or any of our boarding stops. The private cruise is for two hours. The cruise boards at Scotia Landing and goes towards lock 7. It is a scenic cruise, which passes the Stockade area,the Rivers Casino,the Mohawk Harbor,the Lighthouse Restaurant, Alpause Marina, the Schenectady Yacht Club, the Rexford Cliff, the Lawrence Castle and lock 7. Then we proceed back. We will stop at the Schenectady Yacht Club for restrooms and refreshments. Any other stops along the way can be requested within the Private two hours cruise. Private cruise hours are anytime between 9am-2pm. Monday - Sunday. Call for pricing on private cruise. Mohawk River Cruise will be operational the beginning of June 2018. The season will run to mid September.
Mohawk River Cruise is owned and operated by Master Captain Sing Sonthivongnorath and his son Daniel. Mr. Sonthivongnorath has lived in the area for the past 25 years and has owned and operated a local business for over twenty years . He is inspired to venture into the boat cruise business after seeing the development of Schenectady County and wanted to contribute to it's development in his own way.
